Hi Mike, the photos have been returned to me safely. The images look brilliant, much better than expected. In particular the restoration and accuracy of colour from the older photos is very impressive. Initially I was going to scan the photos with my home scanner but I'm glad I didn't. I could not have achieved anything remotely similar to the resolution of the photos you have produced. Completed Order Feedback - the quality of the scanned images was superb. In addition to the picture clarity, all signs of dust and scratches were removed and the brightness of some rather dull slides had been improved to reveal parts of the images not clearly visible on the original slides! We also sent some black and white transparencies in a severe state of deterioration and these have been restored superbly. Many thanks for an excellent service at a very fair price. Mike, the photographs were worth the wait (not that we minded waiting)! A really first-class job that was better than I hoped for. I've made many scans myself and would simply not have had the time to do so many to such a consistently high standard - and thoughtful, too, to include alternatives for the one or two where the balance etc was problematical. Hello Mike, I just want to say a very big thank you the lovely job you did on my memories of the family growing up slideshow. Although there were so many slides, you seemed to have selected and sorted them to show the most appropriate shots for the piece of music playing much appreciated. Completed Order Feedback - Mike's service was amazing. He was very helpful and understood my hesitation in sending precious photos to someone I didn't know. He did a free sample CD for some or my photos and updated me about what was happening throughout the process. I eventually sent him 2,100 negatives and prints to digitise. They came back in many cases far better than the original prints. Mike was methodical and consistent in his approach. His communication was also very good - he sent back DVDs as they were done so I could monitor the quality of the images as they were being worked on. He finished the order two weeks ahead of schedule. And his prices are very competitive. Hi Mike, my negatives and disc arrived safely this morning. You did say you would appreciate a few comments so I thought I would add them with this return mail. There were only a couple of minor things. Some of the images were mirror flipped. The obvious one being the car number plate...... My main worry was the age of the film - taken in the seventies. You got rid of the colour cast as many of the negs had turned an orange colour. There must have been a lot of fading too. They are good big files and the definition is excellent. My Athlon 64 3000 groans a bit but I'm not complaining, I can always make smaller copies for reference. The photos were taken on my father’s old Rolle flex - that too was attacked by mould....... Altogether you did a fantastic rescue job on these old negatives. I really appreciate the work done. Excellent value for money. Many thanks, PG (November 2007)

Mike, many thanks, all received OK. the last time we saw these slides was after spending an hour or so putting up the projector and screen etc, only for my parents to fall asleep half way through, that was 15 years ago, so it was great to see them again, brought some tears to our eyes. we intend now to forward remainder of our slides when we get xmas out of the way, approx. 1000 or so, then we can relive our past life in south Africa, and have our adult children see their past. again, a good job done, we were very surprised at quality obtained from 30-year-old slides. Unfortunately, we have a problem with the DVDs which we have just watched on our television. About three quarters way through the slideshow, 4 or 5 pictures fragmented into little squares.
