Our Terms - Conditions and Privacy Statement.

General

These terms and conditions and any contract between us shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and the English Courts shall have jurisdiction over any disputes between Treasured Memories Slideshow Services Ltd and the customer.

From Time to Time the Terms, Conditions and Prices may change.

Payment.

Prices stated are VAT Free, as we are not a VAT registered company. Orders will be invoiced at the current prices at the time of ordering. Normally your Cheque or Postal Order must be received at our premises prior to work commencing.

Pre-Payment (Up Front Payment Discount).
Treasured Memories offers a larger discount for up-front, part payment and full payment of larger orders. Where the exact number of images to be scanned is not known, Treasured Memories will estimate the numbers, in agreement with the customer, the up front payment will then be calculated, usually 60% of the total amount. Any Over/Under-estimates will be correct at time of final billing.

Pre Payment Guarantee.
If for any reason the job is cancelled before completion, work carried out to date will be charged at rates quoted and any overpayment will be refunded by Treasured Memories, Slideshow Services Ltd.
This guarantee also applies to any overpaymen made for any other reason.

Note all discounts are subject to prompt payment.

Late Payment will result in all discounts been withdrawn and where additional costs have been incurred, Treasured Memories Slideshow Services Ltd reserve the right to claim these additional costs.

Completion and Return.

Our aim is to complete your order within 10 to 15 days of receipt, this may change dependant on the current workload, seasonal variations and the size of your order.
if we have any delays we will inform you of them and give you an expected completion date.

Large Orders will be subject to prior agreement.

Guarantee

All DVD’s and USB’s, including copies are viewed prior to dispatch to ensure perfect quality. If for any reason there is a technical fault with your DVD or USB or we did not carry out your instructions properly we will replace it and any copies free of charge. We cannot be held responsible for damaged or mishandled discs. We do not provide refunds once the DVD/USB has been posted to you, we will replace or correct any technical fault or where we have not carried out your instructions properly.
 

Loss or Damage to your Materials. (Important Information)

Treasured Memories do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your photographs, Images or other Materials whilst in the hands of a postal service. This applies to items sent by the customer to Treasured Memories Slideshow Services Ltd and return items posted to the customer by Treasured Memories Slideshow Services Ltd.
In the unlikely event of loss or damage whilst in or on our premises, we will refund the replacement value of a new film to a maximum of £25.00 per film.
Requesting Treasured-Memories Slideshow Services to provide a service, you implicitly agree to consent to this Policy.

We recommend that you use Recorded or Special Delivery to send us your material.
We return your originals by Royal Mail Signed for Delivery or by Courier. 

Please mark your packages FRAGILE, PHOTOGRAPHS, DO NOT BEND.

We Reserve the Right to Refuse Work.

Treasured Memories Reserve the right to refuse work that involves images that may already be copyrighted material, or for any other reason, specified or otherwise, at our discretion.

Data Protection.

All data supplied to Treasured Memories and held electronically is only held in order to return your photographs and produce receipts and accounts and to follow up on prospective customers who have requested a quote or a Sample DVD. We usually e-mail prospective customers who have requested a Sample DVD, as a courtesy follow up, we will never contact you more than once.

Treasured Memories will never release your information to any third party. After follow up, all information will be deleted.

Copyright
Images or copies of images whether stored digitally or otherwise are protected by the Copyright and Design Act 1988. It is contrary to the Act to copy or allow to be copied photographically/electronically or by any other means an image created as part of this contract without the permission of the Owner.

You the customer will always remain the copyright owner of the original image.

The scanned image and any Slideshow is copyright to Treasured Memories Slideshow Services Ltd, however on receipt of full payment we waive any copyright of the scanned image and or Slideshow and the customer may produce copies and or publish the scanned images or Slideshow as required, they may not sell a Treasured Memories Slideshow Services Ltd, Slideshow without prior written permission.

Your Responsibility

We accept your order on the basis that (You own the copyright of the images) and the intellectual rights of the image, you must ensure that the material supplied adhere to the following:

1. Does not contain obscene material.

2. Complies with current laws on audio and visual material.

3. Doe’s not infringe on any third party’s copyright, patent, trade secret or trademark or any other proprietary rights.

Notwithstanding point 3. above, in the event that we were to incur any liability, demand, damages or costs from any third party in relation to intellectual property rights infringement, you will fully indemnify and hold us harmless in respect of such liability demands for damages or costs.

Your DVD Player

Your DVD should be compatible with DVD-R or DVD+R technology. Most DVDs that have been purchased within the last three to four years should be compatible. In the event you are unable to play the DVD on your player, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will attempt to write a disc that is compatible. We cannot be held responsible for damaged or mishandled discs if we are not able to produce a slideshow that is capable of playing on your DVD Player, we may reduce the charges.

Numbering and View From Side.

It is the customers responsibility to ensure that we can identify the view from side of each slide, if the view from side is not identified we will try to identify it from the image or from similar slides. Treasured Memories will not re-scan images that were not clearly marked. If you want your slides in order you must number them for us, if slides are not numbered we will make every attempt to keep them in the order they are in on receipt, however Treasured Memories will not re-scan images that were not clearly numbered. Slide Mounts should be in good order, if for any reason the Slide Mount is damaged, we will attempt to scan the slide, we cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur in this process.

Our Privacy Statement.

At Treasured Memories Slideshow Services Ltd we understand the importance of personal photographs, slides and negatives of your family and friends.

The copyright of your image will always reside with you once payment is made.

Your Privacy and Confidentiality is of utmost concern to us. We Guarantee that your images will never be used for any other purpose or shared with anyone but you. Your personal details will never be shared with any third party for any reason. The original photographs, slides or negatives will be returned to you undamaged with your Disc, USB or DVD Slideshow.

The Electronic image we create will be stored on our computer for a period of 21 days, unless you ask otherwise, they will then be deleted in a manner that will make them unrecoverable.

If you do not wish them to be stored after receipt of your Slideshow please tell us and we will delete them immediately. Once the images are deleted we cannot reproduce the original project and the images would need to be scanned again at the current charges.
